Decarbonize your value chain with data, not estimates

Two complementary approaches for companies that need to measure, engage suppliers and report with confidence: each supplier's emissions inventory and the carbon footprint of each raw material.

The challenges of value chain decarbonization

  • No internal capacity to engage

Without a structure to engage and work with suppliers, collecting data and managing the value chain is not feasible.

  • Suppliers with low maturity

Most suppliers lack the in-house knowledge to build an emissions inventory that complies with the standards.

  • No tool aligned with the standards

Producing reports that comply with the GHG Protocol, the IPCC and other standards is another barrier for the value chain.

Approach 1 · Corporate GHG Supply Chain

Every supplier with its own inventory

A program that trains and equips your suppliers to build complete emissions inventories, across Scopes 1, 2 and 3, on the Climoo platform. Each participant gets an automatic report under ISO 14064 and the Brazilian GHG Protocol Program.

  • A structured training track for the whole value chain
  • A consolidated dashboard with results from every supplier
  • Science-based decarbonization targets (SBTi)

Approach 2 · PCF / LCA Supply Chain

Carbon footprint per raw material

A program focused on the product carbon footprint (PCF) of your suppliers' raw materials. Compliant with ISO 14067 and the GHG Protocol Product Standard, ready for CSRD and built on a pre-calculated LCIA database, with no manual modeling.

  • A PCF report per raw material for each supplier
  • Training so SMEs can run it without an outside consultant
  • Decarbonization insights and a data reliability score

In both approaches

Supplier data flows into your Scope 3

Supplier inventories and footprints replace average factors in your company's Scope 3, alongside LCA data and custom factors. The share on primary data grows with every cycle.

  • Primary data, LCA and average factors flagged on every line
  • Status of each activity and each supplier
  • History to compare collection cycles

Supplier engagement at scale

Value chain mapping and engagement, with automatic invitations, reminders and guidance for every supplier, and the highest-risk ones at the top of the list.

Value chain mapping

Suppliers organized by Scope 3 category and by emissions volume, to decide who joins each approach.

Automatic invitations and reminders

Invitations, completion tracking and scheduled reminders.

Supplier workspace

Each supplier works in its own Climoo workspace, with guidance for each data request.

Value chain climate risk

High-risk suppliers prioritized for engagement and reduction plans.

How it works

  1. 1

    Mapping and choosing the approach

Identifying the suppliers that weigh most on Scope 3 and choosing the program for each group: corporate inventory or PCF per raw material.

  2. 2

    Invitation and training

An engagement campaign with invitations, deadlines, automatic reminders and the Climoo training track.

  3. 3

Inventory or PCF on the platform

Each supplier builds its inventory or the footprint of its raw materials in Climoo and gets an automatic report.

  4. 4

    Consolidation and targets

Results gathered in one dashboard, primary data in your Scope 3 and reduction targets with priority suppliers.

Questions about the module

What is the difference between the two approaches?

In Corporate GHG Supply Chain, each supplier builds a complete emissions inventory for its own company, across Scopes 1, 2 and 3, under ISO 14064. In PCF / LCA Supply Chain, the focus is the carbon footprint of the raw materials it supplies, under ISO 14067. The approaches are complementary and can run together in the same value chain.

Do my suppliers need to hire a consultant?

No. The training track prepares suppliers, SMEs included, to run the platform without an outside consultant, and reports are generated automatically.

Which standards do the reports follow?

The corporate inventory follows the GHG Protocol, ISO 14064 and the Brazilian GHG Protocol Program. The raw material footprint follows ISO 14067 and the GHG Protocol Product Standard and is ready for CSRD.

How does supplier data reach my inventory?

Supplier results enter your company's Scope 3 as primary data, replacing spend-based average factors, and are consolidated in a single dashboard.
