Centralize sustainability project management

Deadlines, owners, budget, check-ins and evidence for every initiative in one place, linked to the ESG indicators, emissions inventory and decarbonization plan they are meant to move.

Every project linked to the indicators it should move

The project sheet brings together ESG pillar, SDGs, frameworks and management attributes, and connects the project to indicators that already exist in Climoo. Actual abatement comes from the emissions inventory, the single source of truth.

  • Links to ESG data collection indicators, inventory sources and plan targets
  • Decarbonization plan initiative and scenario on every project
  • Owner, deadline, budget and progress always in view

Planning with WBS, Gantt and milestones

Break each project into phases, deliverables and tasks, each with an owner and a deadline. The schedule shows what has been delivered, what is under way and what comes next.

  • Phase → Deliverable → Task structure
  • Monthly Gantt with milestones and a today line
  • An owner for every phase, deliverable and task

A strategic map that shows where projects are missing

View the portfolio as a list, a kanban board or an impact and effort matrix. The map also points out indicators and targets with no linked project yet, the gaps in your strategy.

  • Impact × effort matrix with each project's budget and pillar
  • Quick wins and strategic projects side by side
  • Indicators and targets with no linked project

Evidence in one central repository, with validation

Technical reports, minutes, photos and contracts stay linked to the project and deliverable they support. Each piece of evidence goes through a validation flow, and the validator is notified when something needs review.

  • Search by project, deliverable, period and owner
  • Pending → submitted → validated or rejected flow
  • Automatic notification to the validator

Planned and actual ESG budget by pillar

Track investment by project, pillar and period, split into green CAPEX, operating cost and donations. Amounts are entered manually or come straight from the ERP, and overruns show up before they become surprises.

  • Planned × actual by project, E, S and G pillar and period
  • Manual entry or ERP integration
  • Budget overrun alerts

Questions about sustainability project management

What problems does the Projects module solve?

Five common pain points in sustainability projects. Execution disconnected from strategy: each project is linked to the indicators, the inventory and the decarbonization plan targets. Lost evidence: technical reports, minutes, photos and contracts sit in a central repository, tied to the deliverable they prove. Invisible ESG investment: planned and actual budget shows by project and by E, S and G pillar. Tracking without a cadence: periodic check-ins keep status current before the committee meets. No traceability: every change is logged, which speeds up external assurance.

How do projects connect to the decarbonization plan?

Each reduction project is linked to an initiative and a scenario in the decarbonization plan. Project progress then shows up next to the target it supports, and the plan shows which initiatives are already under way.

Is each project's abatement entered manually?

No. Actual abatement comes from the emissions inventory, the single source of truth. The project is linked to inventory sources and categories, and the reduction appears as emissions data is collected.

Does the module create new indicators or targets?

No. Projects is the execution layer: it connects to ESG data collection indicators, emissions inventory sources and results, and decarbonization plan targets that already exist on the platform.

What is a check-in?

It is the periodic project update, following the OKR model. The owner records progress, actual costs and investments, and a green, amber or red executive status, with a comment and evidence. Check-ins build the project's history.

How does evidence validation work?

Each piece of evidence is attached to a project and a deliverable and moves through pending, submitted and validated or rejected. The validator is notified when something needs review, and the decision is recorded in the audit trail.

Can I integrate the budget with our ERP?

Yes. Costs and investments can come straight from the company's ERP or be entered manually, split into green CAPEX, operating cost and donations. The source of every entry is identified.

Does the audit trail support external assurance?

Yes. Every change to a project is logged with user, date and time and cannot be edited. Together with validated evidence, the verifier finds proof of what was delivered in one place.
